To each his own, i like the look of the newer box, its fits the body lines perfect, my friend owns this trk, and he is doing another rebuild...lol...he is using the same box...lol....but doing a different color, lowereing the roof line, using a custome interior, kick ass sound system, upgrading the power trian. either way cool looking trk.
it does fit the body lines but the original box is just ten times better these look sick in gun metal grey. and put in a 4bt cummins, that would be a sleeper and still have tons of fun!
Its hard to convert gas to diesel, there is not much interest in our town for diesel trks, even in the 4 wheel drive trks. Dont get me wrong these diesel trks are cool. But mainly in our town the main interest is 60s muscle. Lot of mopars and chevys. Me??? im a mopar man when it comes to the lats 60s. I have owned some cool rides, 68 cornet R/T. 74 cuda, 70 340 duster clone, 77 ply road runner (which was not much for power, but a cool car to drive) even a 79 litle red express. But in the late 70s its been the 2nd generation trans-ams. My dream is to have a 77 black bandit edition or a 79 silver aniversary T/A
in this town you either have a 4x4 or junk. thats pretty well how it works. there are some nice 2wd trucks. but there is one guy who lives north of town with a whole collection of older mopar muscle cars. They are all amazing, and im a mopar guy myself so its quite a treat to see those cars.
yes your right, its good to see that you can buy NOS parts, panels ect to rebuild these old cars. A local body shop has been rebilding some great cars from ground up, even with new fuel injected engine. Its cool to be able to go get a late 60s muscle cars build all new. But it come with a price...lol
