How tall are you if u think u are to tall for bmx then? Cos i can ride a bmx at any height, I am 6ft 4 and i ride and race a bmx. And i have only go 8" rise bars and an xl frame if you are tall than than u can get 8.25" rise bars or high and get an xxl or xxxl frame so don't use the shit excuse that you are to tall.

I race bmx, and can tell you, that airing is quicker than manualing, while almost as fast does require more effort and does not gain you much speed, where as shooting over a jump low, and then pumping into the landing, is much quicker. also there are no bumps in the air to slow you down, where as in a manual, the pump you are trying to manual too, slows you down as you go over it.

Jumping is never faster. Only on Pro Sets. And on jumps like doubles with no backside/huge drop off on the first lip, but a very nice backside on the second lip.

What is faster through a rythym ? Manualing, Pumping, or Jumping ? A mix of Manuals and pumps. A manual is just a form of pumping without having both wheels on the ground for resistance.

P.S. - There are things called tap-manuals, pick-taps, pick-pedals, those are all faster than jumping if you can do them right.

If you and I went through a rythym section side by side, you jump, and only jumped through it, I manualed and pumped through it, I would pull you.

Only under certain circumstances is jumping faster.

Pick manualing is the fastest way around the track, ever. But you can sit and think your right, that's okay too.

I just know I get around most tracks about 3 seconds faster when I pull a mixture of pick-taps, and tap manuals then jumping.

Really? Using that word as an insult? Why hasn't this comment been deleted by a mod yet? Completely innocent comments in PODs, VODs, and articles get deleted really fast all the time and yet the staff here give comments like this the OK? This is the environment they want to foster?

tbh, i have done both in the past, and this is onky an opinion but bmx is alot more fun! but i dont get why there has to be all this rivalry between bmx and moutain bike, moutain biking is still great so whats the point in arguing?

thats definetly worth pod... its one of the only pictures iv seen on the home page that grabs my attention and makes me want to see it in a larger scale.. thats what pod should be doing. good choice in my opinion !

The "unknown" rider is Norways Sebastian Kartfjord who happens to be an olympian as well.

In 2008 Graves was among the best on his BMX bike, however in Copenhagen you could see he was still adapting to a BMX bike again (Copenhagen was only a week after the 1st WC 4X). Among others he did not get the full speed out of his manuals yet...

I ride a 26" BLK MRKT now...but I grew up riding and racing 20"'s and will never forget were the roots of all extreme biking came from...IT'S 20" BMX PEOPLE. Everyone needs to stop hating on each other...we obviously all ride 2 wheels bikes, who cares what aspect of the 2 wheel sport you enjoy. JUST GET OUT AND RIDE!!!
