Photo cropping? I have never heard of such a thing. Photo shopping on the other hand . . . Either way, it's not photo shopped. Give the rider the respect he deserves for going so huge.
You are obviously a retard so i'll try and keep this simple. The photographer is using a tele-photo lens, which has a very long zoom, when you have a long zoom the aperture closes and gives a smaller depth of field, making the amount in the photo that is focused very precise, in this photo, he has focused on the rider, not the foreground or background. Making the background blurred and the subject very sharp.
Also, you can see the same bush in this photo also, just a different angle
bighucker503 and mbjumper, your stupidity is 100% non fake. while mbjumper's stupidty is slightly innocent then bighucker503: go huck yourself with a sore thumb.
yes exactly, bullseye, cows culo!. We don't want your cool looking tilted cameras. We don't want those low aperture, super sharp focused pics, requiring damn lot of experience to hit proper focal lengths. Wide lenses, zoom lenses, remotely controlled flashes, tripods, baaah you photographers: that's just cheating! This community deserves something better! a non remastered pics from disposable Kodak or for conneseurs Leica! and no black room cheating! give it to photo service!
Lame, The pic is tilted no question. Look at the other photos from his gallery and the plants. It is half as steep as he made it in this photo. I don't think it is photo shopped, just Tilted a ton while he was taking the photo. Kind of lame for POD!!!!
lol, you do realize john, that pretty much ALL professional photographers use edititing programs to finalize their work. But then again, half you chumps have never worked in the graphics industry and just bitch at everything. I can't remember the last time we used a non mastered pic at Anheuser Busch.
heehee, I'm just as bad with bitching tho, but at the same token, if someone going to bitch, at least make it on a worth while subject hahaha. 3 pinkbike. lol
uh, mishracer, you do realize that the majority of the american comments are saying it's not pfake and it's a nice finalized picture?
Why is it you guys always bring "American" this and that into the equasion. You don't see us saying damn those Brits every time you guys criticize something or say something "typically" British. Better remember it's Americans that is UK's biggest supporter
Well i have nothing against Americans! I have things against some of my own kind though! Some Brits can be really up with themselves and snobby but most of us are good!
rffr if u r so good why dont u tell me whats the differences be twin cs4 and cs5. btw i could easy make that if i get a awesome camera and like 2 hole days to work and i have only gone 1 year in the gymnasium and we have bary started to look at PS
I don't use CS5. Unlike people that upgrade at every single upgrade, I'm too busy to keep updating graphic shit, especially since I'm in school for IT. The company I work and my personal system all use CS2, and Corel draw 15.
btw, it's whole, not hole. Cool stuff if you can do that. I myself, am pretty burnt out with graphics. 8-430 each day gets old after the years start adding up.
OK john416 NO ONE LIKES YOU! We are talking about the picture then you come in saying about cs4 and cs5(that's got nothing to do with this picture john416)
If you have something bad to say about this picture then just shut the f*ck up seriously.
This discussion is so ridiculous and spams my dashboard so much that I dare to ask: is PS5 under 34lbs?
Can't we just vote? 1.Everyone thinking this picture is a fake, or just an overphotoshopped photo material, is an incredible idiot.
yes or no
2.And for the fact that he is speculating it for so long giving stupid arguments, he should be punished with collonoscopy with the use of cactus followed by a month treatment of wounds with mexican chilli sauce, citron concentrate and salt.
cant you guys just enjoy a photo for once with out starting an argument. your crying saying its a bad photo, its fake, or whatever else isnt going too change the picture. so just let it be and except that its an amazing photo.
Can I vote for a POD as well? POD! You had to be there to believe the skills of Roger railing this wall ride. 3.5 meters up there on an Orange 5, and not even a pair of gloves for protection demands respect!
Awesome shot, awesome riding. I was there three weeks ago, and I didn't have the bottle to ride down it, though a mate did. It is that steep, and the run in to that wallride is just flat, he must have some proper legs on him to build up that speed. Props to the guy for having the balls and the quads to pull it off.
Well obviously a creative angle has been used at the time of taking the photo or in Photoshop. But that doesn't make the photo "FAKE" its just photographic technique that's used all the time, in this case used very well to increase angle of the rock therefore making the photo even more AWESOME !!
Next people will be saying jump photos taken with a wideangle lenses to make them look bigger are "FAKE".
agreed with R055 the camera angle tilt is used very well but the tilt is not too dramatic, to me it looks like its only a few degrees, which mean Martino that it is not as fake as you think is, as for the strange lighting created on the rock; it is obvious that this photographer has used a flash gun connected to his camera with a wireless remote and receiver, as most modern photographers do so.
I think people just need to realise that not all XC riders are just "Fitness Freaks" with a lot of money, it appears that some of them so have some skill to make up for their ridiculous condom pants.
I just believe some brains here cannot compute the fact that the guy on an AM bike with shaved legs, XC helmet ,tights and no goggles can do Steve Cam-Mac-Boykonuk stuff. It's just to bitter too swallow i think. Wallride, no goggles?! no Kyle Straight knee pads? No Sombrio baggy pants.. oh noo... no no no fake!
Hey lads, for all you guys theorising as to the authenticity of the shot, it´s real. I was there and I saw Roger pull it off three times. I have a vid of it somewhere, so will try to dig it out.
I think its shoped also lol from where did he get there ? the lightning is also a bit strange that grass effect going through him is easy to make. If the front tire gives a shade on the stone wall why its so bright on the right side ?
Because there is a flash on the underside and the sun coming from the top. If you look through his albums you'll see that he has no need to fake pictures, the rest are awesome too.
Why does his bike cast a shadow on his own leg but not the ground/wall? Looks like a flash was placed at the bottom of the wall pointing up, filling in any shadow the sun would have cast from from above. I actually think its real.
Vegetation like those bushes need sunlight to survive, so, they must strive to get as much as possible by growing towards the best source of light they can get.
Guess what that is... The Sun.
And guess where it is... Up...
Hence why the background bushes are growing upwards. Its not such a difficult concept to grasp really.
This also explains why the small bush the foreground is vertical in the picture. If the camera had been tilted, that would mean those bushes all grow side-ways... Unlikely? I think so.
Just scroll up the comments a little and "Shred-NZ" has posted a link to another picture of the same piece of ground which shows it is actually that steep. And therefore, not fake.
OMFG, what is it with people saying this is fake and trying to make it look steeper ???? IT'S NOT FAKE!!!!! AND... Yeah he might of tilted the camera to the side to make it look steeper but that photography for you!!!!! Well i like the picture so POD for me!
xc looking rider on a wallride - ImossibLEEEE! no no nooo! NobodeEE with shaved legs can look like my idol Romo who I have on the picture over my bed! noooo mummyy!! Say it was at least a tilted camera Daddy, pleaseeee! oh noo the guy on the other pic is doing such steep rock, and he is not having a double crown fork, it's some nightmare!
yes, of course it has been photoshopped or edited on some editing program. Every single photographer adjusts and changes rates on photos to finalize it. So yes, it's real, and yes, it's been edited, just like every other pro photo. Epic fail jorden.
well it obvious that you are too stupid to wear a helmet when you are riding that 20inch monkey bike of yours and judging by you poor english, you have suffered tremendous brain truma, which says to me that your opinion is irelevant.
