hate me if you will but this isnt that hard to do. Hes probally going really slow and the riding theres no real skill in it. the lighting is okay if this guy was hitting something but for all we know he could be doing a track stand so give me neg props if you will but i think the pod should be a bit more action in it. something that takes skills. not this.
Gotta go with both live-to-ride12 and nishnash. Not that hard, not a lot of action. But, it is about the photo. I myself kind of wish the rider was a little less blurry, but it's a kick-ass shot. As for Terrafire, assuming someone has no skills because of a comment like that is pretty stupid, to say the least.
You can go on and on about good lighting, but did anyone look at this photo and go,'Now that is sick!' For example this picture www.pinkbike.com/photo/5107082 Go ahead, neg prop me...
It's not about the action, they don't have to be amazing you, it's about the picture. Good atmosphere and trail. It makes you imagine what he's going to do next, following that trail with your eyes. It reminds me of riding trails like that, and that's why it's POD.
Good point on the RAD...the term is also super fitting haha that being said, could get purdy competitive...i like photo of the day, sometimes it just includes rad riding.
How is this POD? It seems that I might confused with what the POD requirements are. I'm not trying to hate on the photo, just saying, POD?.... really? Keep on the shred!
I figured I could write a comment about how I'd like to see something a little more interesting to get me stoked as POD... but at the end of the day, there will be another POD tomorrow, and another after that etc... Its a nice photo and I like the lines the trail makes in the frame so I'm just gonna enjoy it for that for the next few hours and see what tomorrow brings
I like the lighting affect only because it "spotlights" the rider and gives the contrast. Dark woods, heroic rider. Plus, we can see the rider better- Good shot.
