This is supposed to be a good biking photo. when this is primarily only good because of the landscape.

@schweetcutuk. I disagree, when I look at that I think thats one of the reasons i mountain bike. Sure Its for the speed, the adrenaline, and the airtime. But when you are sitting at the top of a mountain, looking at an awesome landscape (mind you I dont pedal to get there 
) I just think wow, this is what biking is about.

The Sky, and the mist, are so amazing, but i wish it was better riding. Like its not bad riding, but if it was dirt jumping or downhill or free ride, i think it would be better, but nice Pod !

coming from a park rider, i think this photo is amazing. he may not be pinning or hucking or throwing a huge whip, but it makes me wanna ride.

I actually think this DOES deserve to get POD. Biking is not only about just hucking yourself off a cliff and sh*t like that. Remember that there are people who are older, and ride for pleasure. If being outdoors, and enjoying the beauty of nature while biking is what you like, and it is portrayed here in this photo, then I think that is a part of the sport and it deserves POD, seeing as it has been captured perfectly. Sometimes we all need to slow down and take in the scenery.

k i didn't even read the posts above because i am CERTAIN since it is a XC pod there are people bitching, so THIS DOES DESERVE POD, because well....it is pod...it is a trail blazer riding through a field,it gets away from all the pansies to ride perfectly groomed tracks, and jumps you can't fcuk up. this to me captures why mountain biking got so big because you can go anywhere through anything. EFF the nay sayer and keep riding.

but seriously, i do XC more than anything else, i love it! just because your not flying through the air or shredding down the side of a mountain doesnt mean it sucks. XC is just another form of mountain biking. its not for people without balls. just because it isnt your cup of tea doesnt mean you gotta bash it! so EFF YOU HATERS!!!!

I absolutely LOVE hucking and droping and whiping.
But I also love this picture, it makes me want to go out and ride.
Maybe I am old or gay because I like the scenery and actally think it would be a lot of fun to ride there, but maybe I am not.
And maybe those who say I am, are just narrow-minded Idiots.
What are you crying for you morrons? Im sure that tomorow there will be just another DH or FR or Dirt POD with hucking, droping or whiping waiting just ahead.

wow if this classifies as a pod then i am king of the world, this is something that should just be in a magazine for explore the outdoors. This is no where near as good as any of the other pods, i actually wanna see someone riding my 5 year or cousin could seriously ride this.

Well said newworlddisorder, mitchell open your mind a bit, POD isn't about just the biggest riding, its about the best photos, and from a photography point of view this is stunning. Just because its not some sick DH or FR shot. I mean, how many insane DH photos are there where its basically a guy or girl riding their bike through the woods. Doesn't stop them looking insane, and its all down to the photography

That's an awesome shot Props to the photographer. I am a little surprised by all the XC hate, no one said liking this shot meant you had to ride XC yourself. It is great exercise and a hella lot more fun than kicking it in the gym. Don't call the shot lame just cause its not the kind of riding you do. Lets just agree we all like to bike even if its for different reasons and give props to an awesome shot.

Agreed 100%. POD shouldn't always be about the most insane, technical, and gnarly riding possible. When I see this pic, I think of how much I love riding my bike. The pure joy of getting outdoors is widley underestemated today. People all want to have the most rad ride possible. And it usually turns out that way anyhow. POD is to show people having fun, and getting an awesome shot while doing so. Well said digilog! Keep riding.

This is an amazing photo. To every single person being rude about this not being a crazy dh picture, just check out name of what you are looking at " PICTURE of the day". At no point does it say " KNARLIEST MOST EXTREME DH PHOTO", so show some respect to the people who are not only talented on bikes but behind the lens of a camera. This is a great shot

I completely agree with what you are saying but I think that this picture isnt great for the POD because it dosent represent the talent of a rider, it without a doubt represents the talent of the photographer and the beautiful sights we get to see as mountain bikers.

I just believe that one should represent there talent on a bike for the POD, to me this picture doesn't show much talent. There is nothing saying it is about the talent of a rider nor the beauty of the scene. I respect your oppinion but I am just stating my own oppinion.

Talent of the photographer? This looks like a point and shoot situation to me. Anyone standing there could have taken this picture with a cheap camera.

i ride XC and freeride and seeing that pic is stellar, its crisp and clean, and to ride uphill, to get to a point like that in the pic is amazing, and sometimes its few and far between, i love DH and all that sh*t but after a while its the same sh*t over and over, and i saw someone say hey this is a bike website, well hey buddy guess what it it wasnt for riding like this way back when there would be no DH or FR if people like this didnt push it and imagine we'd still all be riding fat tires and steel frame with weird beach cruiser handle bars, so remember who paved the way, or in this case dusted the trail for people who ride DH and wanna see hucks and jumps, and if u cant remember what its all about, sell your bike and go find a way to look cool somewhere else

POD YES! this is one of those amazing zennish moments that make you realize how good we (mtbers) got it.Most people live in a concreat jungle and work in a cubical and go hike in a regional park or hike on a paved path to get thier nature fix....(processed)This is the real thing,un processed and raw...I love it.

A mai fost inca un POD din Romania, pacat ca poza era de altundeva. Cel care a upload-at poza era roman, avea cont roman, era din Cluj tipul, dar poza sigur nu era din Romania.

M-am uitat la ceva comenturi si cel care a pus-o zicea ca poza este facuta in Germania si ca a luat-o de pe net si ca nu s-a putut abtine sa nu o puna...deci concluzia o intelegei si voi
