are you f*cking kidding? have you checked out your countries education rate? how about your obesiety rate. there are dumb kids on here, but asking a question like that shouldnt be a reason to be dissed. so shut the f*ck up a*shole.
Yup, Jarna rode at Whistler for a while, not sure how much work he did. He's now working at Bike Otago - super good mechanic, he managed to make a whole new spring for an old set of Marzocchis for me out of like a mouse trap and an egg-beater or something. And he's a good dude. If you go in there say to him "Hey, you used to be rad!". He'll appreciate it. Patrick
Sorry dpbrown, photos is how I make my living and once hi res (or med res) images are released into the wild they end up in the strangest places. I only put these images up on PinkBIke to enter the Deep Summer photo challenge - and then I found out it was only open to US and Canadian residents. Sorry to be a bastard mate, anyway glad you enjoyed the photo. Cheers, Patrick
The Kennett brother's book will list good rides all over NZ and give you enough directions and info to find and ride them. If you're going to ride in Queenstown (I'm biased cause I live there, but I've ridden all over NZ and in my opinion the riding there is second to none. They may even be opening the gondola - that is smack bang in the middle of town - to mountain bikers this summer. Finger's crossed...)just grab a trail map and some info from any of the bike shops in town. All the riding's pretty close and pretty easy to find. And the trails are mint. You could even push/ride up the Coronet trails and do your own Follow Me sequel...
I went to Queenstown in the summer holidays, and did the Skippers Canyon trail with Vertigo. Best trail I've ever ridden. I think there was a scene or two shown in Follow Me, of the same trail. I can't wait to go back, it's fantastic! (L) Queenstown.
Right the low-down on the Gondola before everyone starts packing bags for holidays etc... The proposal to council is due to go in any week now for the 10-15 year plan for the entire usage of the hill. Skyline would like to start trials in OCTOBER this year. Still not definate and in concrete yet. A system has been designed by the head engineer to attach bikes to the gondolas. Access hours are still being determined as Skyline dosent actually need bikers to make a profit given they turn over something like $17,000,000 a year. Pass prices are still to be determined as well. Yes it is exciting times to live in QT and ride bikes but there are still alot of the finer details to be worked out. Just dont expect to go for a ride on the gondola with your bike anytime around Xmas or New Years.
