A way you can do it, is if you raw the forks completely then laquer them leave them for a day and you need a blowtorch, lightly heat up individual areas and you need a buffer, do this process 3-4 times on different parts of the forks until ou have done all the forks, its a long process
the laquer kills any effect the buffer would have on the actual metal work. If you do it properly you can't laquer it anyway because the surface is too slick. You have to shine the metal to perfection itself if its going to last at all!
