you can't see it, but the front brake line, in zip tied to the fork lower on the other side so it will not snag and send you into the bushes.

Alot of thought clearly went into this frame...Replaceable pinchbolts, long wheelbase, tapered headtube, the onlything holding me back from even considering looking into riding it is that it's just so damn f*cking ugly.

history,the rawed frame was a proto thus they were obviously going to change the colour and the blue model and red model colours are nice.

Really? I'm not sure they tested them, since headtube failures seemed to be the most common problem with pretty much every single Kona frame for the past few years. You'd think they'd test and remedy the problem, but no.

You want evidence? Kona has been making DH and FR bikes with the same style of headtube junction for years, and yet year after year the headtubes shear off. They never remedied the problem.

Honestly, My best mate/Boss knows Kona's rep in Australia, and he has told us that everything on this bike has been overhauled. that includes Head tube junction. Its a different bike with different geo, different Alloy and everything, lets give it at least a test ride before we start bashing it just because its a kona... thats all i'm saying.

there stronger than stabs and stinkys and there trying to rid themselves of the name kona "snapalot" so i doubt they will snap allso would a coumpany witch bikes snap all the time offer a lifetime warentee on there 2010+ bikes if they were prone to snapping? no so they should be good. thats why im getting one. plus they look damn sexy and for the money the speck is mint.

i think the proto will actually ride better. This production model looks like the rear suspension won't work as well as first thought, the back end is too long and the actuall link itself will put leverage on the frame instead of the shock. Whereas the proto, the seat tube is closer to the back wheel and it will have a plusher ride. In saying all that, the bike does look lush Big Grin
