how is there money for Esher X and not for Esher Shore?

because Esher Shore is "dead" - no one wanted to ride it anymore, apart from a few core freeriders

and that was not enough to pay the rent and insurance!!

~Esher X is a brand new project, with new funding, because the management know that riders want the new school 4X and dual slalom racing tracks, rather than timber trails with drops!

 its all been made unrideable

all the start ramps are gone, the roll-in tower is gone, all of the ladder decks have been smashed up and the big ramps at the bottom and the big wall ride have been pulled down

we have started burning off the wood as we have time...

well it had to happen...ran out of time basically

but "Esher X" is gathering pace...moving along nicely...a big "name" guy (who builds the World Cup 4X tracks) is coming soon to have a look and see what can be built on the site

I guess we can all say we have shared some awesome riding experiences at eshershore, but we need to move with the times.
Esher needs a face lift and if that's what it takes to start a new project well so be it...
RIP E-Shore.

Pump Track was built by hand...me and my buddy Jesus John

300 tonnes of clay moved using wheelbarrows and shovels = 8 months of hard labour Wink

this is the problem with legit riding spots, they always have to pay for themselves. esher shore was never likely to continue attracting enough riders because it was a regression from the days of the illegal trails on picth hill (snakes and ladders aka rad lane / holy trail).http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/64180/
