yeah, i feel like they will be weaker than the elixir's i have now, but i don't know that I need to go with codes. Plan right now is to get on the new 2011 Demo 8, probably just get a frame and keep the majority of my parts.

Very nice. I'm curious with how they ride but I'm not ready to give up my V-10 just yet.

3 years on the V-10 for me, so it's time for a change!

That's a good time on it for sure. I hope the transition back to the Demo goes well.

have you ridden them yet? i'm curious if they're worth buying, i just don't like the lever that much, i prefer the Elixir CR, but would like to have the 4 pistons too.

You could always just use the Elixir CR lever with a Code caliper. That being said, I rode them for 6 hours today and I must say they are awesome. They have that Elixir feel at the lever but offer far more power that's very controllable. I found I was able to brake much later going into a turns, where with the Elixir CRs I would have had to start about 5-10 feet back. I won't be missing my CRs.

it's an expensive proposition to go and mate up a cr lever with a code caliper, i would rather just get some codes and ride it as is. i guess we'll have to see.

That it is. I figured you may be in a position for discounted parts though.

oh, I am, but not really wanting to break the budget for 2011, i really like the new XO brakeset, but don't know if they're going to be powerfull enough for dh use.

Yeah the X0 do look sweet but as you said, unsure how they would be for DH stoppers. Will you be on the same V-10 next season or carbon or something else?

Really not as heavy as I thought they would be. I wish they made a carbon lever upgrade tup

Yeah, not bad. I gained 51g for the set over the Elixir CR Carbons.

Yep, these look much better and hopefully offer the same modulation but more power than the Elixir CR Carbons that they replaced.

I'm sure they'll have more power.

Yeah I think so as well. I just shortened the rear so that 4g off, lol. Gonna head out to bed them in now. Will have a full day on them tomorrow.
