i broke two of the current twenty6 stems.. each took ONE crash each. talk about FRAIL. i replaced it with a different brand stem, have had much harder and WAY more crashes and no problems at all. i'm not exaggerating when i say two crashes = two broken stems.
i wouldnt recommend buying the current stem, but the new one looks to have the proper improvements. the adjustability still makes it susceptible to twisting though. the bolt ends up shearing through the 'rib' part in between the settings in any sort of 'worthy' crash. at least the top and bottom parts are solid now.
who wants to replace $100 parts everytime they crash? ... just my two cents. i still have my broken stems on my desk. fancy paper weights.
