its the new magnetic spoke ringle are prototyping, the hub and rim are opposite ends of a magnet and so push eachother apart. depending how you set the hubs internal electromagnet the wheel can give up to an inch of 'suspension', basically just a bit of give to take the sting out of things

If there was a magnet strong enough to do that, you couldn't keep it within 10-20 metres of your home or it'd destroy anything with a hard drive or memory storage facility. I.e. ANYTHING with a computer in it, be it a laptop or automatic garage opener. It'd be like a short range EMP.
