I would love for somebody to clear this up. Not the first time I have seen the white 831. I thought the 2011's had Kashima (mine does), but both of the white ones I have seen are supposedly 2011. What gives???
Wow.. Kashima is an after market coating for the stanctions. 2011 Fox 831's do not come with Kashima unless specially ordered.. This is a 2011 White Fox 831.
Wow. No they dont. Theres only one version of 831 available each year, its not like their others eg 32's and 36's where they have different specs like rl, rlc, FIT rlc etc and only the top spec gets kashmina. 2011 831s are black, with kashmina coating, 2010 831s are black, without the coating. Which actually means that they arent 831's and are just 2010, maybe 2011 32s of some sort...
ive looked at your forks, and are you sure you havent got 2011's? Kashmina only comes on 2011 fox's, i know becasue i have a set and you cant get 831s in white, theyre black only. I was saying that i think hes rocking a set of 32 floats or something, as theyre available in white and the lower specced models, ie. the rl or rlc, dont come with kasmina, only 2011 32 FIT rlcs have kashmina.
All hes gotta do is take a pic of the brace at the top of the lowers, as 831s funnily enough have 831 stamped there, and 32's dont
maybe i do.. i just told the shop to gimme a pair of 831's and they did haha so i could. it makes more sence now haha but if you click to the next pic the brace says 831.
I have absolutely no answer to that next picture. 2010s didnt have kashmina, and 2011s do, and as far as im aware theres only one spec of 831, and no such oe model either. I apologize, Now im confused as f*ck...
yea.. maybe it was a special order? its wierd.. ive seen a few though. its wierd cause the 831's dont have the band the says "32' on it but this one does.. maybe float32 lowers with 831 innerds and stachions, crown ect.. i dont know.
