Before seeing this pic in full size i was like, 'im sure its gonna be the same as the yesterdays pod, i mean its got a big rock in the picture and a drop, but then when i clicked on the image and it opened i was like - wow, this is amazing, its so big, balls, skills, the lighting is amazing wow wow wee wa,
its sick, props
Final Answer is 1. yes it is 100% real I only moved a light stand out of the bottom right corner which is evident with my poor photoshop clone stamp skills in this edit.... final edit is clean and crisp....
this is huge.. meters dont matter.. its mora than 6 @ least.. little bike in the air coming down there... i would not even think of dropping that with my skills so far . !
Connorsux... I would positive Prop you just coz that remark made me laugh dude.. Hey we may be wrong, Prehaps you were Seen hitting up the rampage this year huh? Or maybe a bit of Jah drop?
i remember the toonie drop back when i was in van like 3 or 4 yrs ago and the landing looks so damn small from up top haha i did the lower part of drop, the loonie drop i think it's called lol. but all in all man big props on hitting this, i was to sketched out to hit this. sick photo too!
HUGE, AWESOME, I should like to stand on that rock and see how big this shit really is, I Think i might even go for it. I think there are 2 ways this can end, and both of them deserve going for it Live or Die!! SICK!!!!!
Hi All I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the History of this drop...who built it, when it was built? what films it has been in and how many and who has hit it !!
Digger built it for NSX9, Super T hit it first, then Vanderham, then I'm not sure if Brad Walton or myself hit it next, and by NSX 9 everyone had seen it, and many people had hit it by the end of its second year.
Oh yeah before it was the Toonie Drop Geoff Gulevich had just the smaller version built "Loonie Drop" as it's now called (but with a far smaller and techier tranny so it was actually a legit stunt).
Oh yeah I didn't drop enough names so here's some more. Gully's original drop was featured for a long time in bike. It was a nice green pic with Gully dropping off the rock with no tranny in the shot and he was tweaking the bar towards the camera (to his left).
Ken Maude, North Shore riding legend, now owner of Lynn Valley Bikes, and I were hanging out and chatting about stuff when he noticed the pic in Bike and told me that Todd (Digger) had just finished building this ridiculous version of the same drop. I talked to digger about it, went and saw the drop before Super-T ever hit it, but had to digest it for almost a year before I hit it.
I actually took Kevin Landry there one time to show him where it was so he could hit it and film it, but when we got there Landry wasn't feeling it that day. I actually was and ended up hitting it. I went back a week later and hit it for Digger's cameras two times. My first jump with Digger wasn't so smooth due to poor foot placement and it's the one where you hear the loud bottom out in the overhead shot in NSX 9. My second jump for Digger (third overall) was great - it was the slo-mo static shot in NSX 9.
Man I'm exhausted now from lifting up all these names to drop them on you guys...
Thanks for the hard work of giving us a little NS History, I am stoked to have gotten to shoot such an epic and respected feature on the shore, I just borrowed a copy of nsx 9 and going to check it out today...
think we could get all the originals who hit together there for a photo op?
Awesome shot, amazing skills, worthy of P.O.D...I bow to your courage. Back in the day I used to think I was a big shot, but after seeing what guys are doing today, I was just curb hopping by comparison. Great camera work. Keep em coming.
not sure if this has been posted, but for those that were looking for some video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BnwmYgbWWI this thing is huge no matter what angle it comes from!
Why Cant he??? Sorry but that doesnt make any sence...there is no reason why he couldnt. People have done bigger and as big as that in the past, therefore it is not impossible to do so. SO...... without witnessing yourself of him failing, you can not make that assumption
Not being bitchy....just saying... ( its 4am here so sorry if that sentence made little sence)
