Generally if your right foot forward you table pushing your right hand to your left armpit, same with 3's - you spin anti clockwise. Opposite would be doing either of these left foot forward and visa versa.

Its not normal as such, its how it would make sense to do it. So your feet are best placed for those tricks. I table opposite for example, just seems to make more sense in my head in the air
