Selected by Ian Hylands - I like the action in this photo, it's not often you see a sick flair in street riding! It's also well composed and I really like the random spectator walking into the shot. I think it adds to to the shot both in interest and composition.
This shot is so good. It looks like a shop job, but it is real, the lighting is very good, the pop on the rider is excellent, the timing is very good. The trailer for the video it comes from looks like it will be equally as good.
Massive props to the rider and to the photographer.
POD is deserved for sure.
YOOOOOO! mega props for this pic. Now that is a pod for real. Amazing riding, location, and the camera geek caught the shot perfect. Way better than that garbage pod pic yestrday!!! lolololoo
hi, I took this picture. I used two lamps in 2 sides focused only on the rider so it may seem that this is not true. But I assure you that it is real photo. cheers!
This is a badass shot and a sick spot, but the lighting on the guy makes it look photoshopped. I think it would look better with more natural lighting, just my 2 cents.
Holy f@ck!... It took like 5 minutes to scroll down these comments. Ummm...gotta be original! .............bet ya didn't notice the naked woman up in that window!? HA! Made ya look
HA! the comments are often more entertaining than the picture. My first thought when I saw this was uhh... did he ride out of that? This pic has style tho, I like it.
Agreed. The lighting is all wrong. Can someone explain why the guys face is lit up more than anything else in the entire photo? Was there a flash on the brim of his helmet? Add to that the lady in frame is mid stride, who the hell keeps walking toward a guy flipping a bike 2metres in front of them? Seriously folks.....how can you not see it's shopped?
It isn't photoshopped in that it didn't happen but it is photoshopped because the shadows on him are wrong. You can see the edges of the mask on the back tire, also his sweater should be completely blocked from the flash but it's lit up on the inside of his shoulder. Great shot just highlights were overdone.
Regardless, POD
It's actually not photoshopped at all, there are two flashes that are creating the shadows. The shadow on the back tire is caused by the flash and the movement of the bike during the exposure, it's fairly common with flash shots at 1/125th of a second and slower, even faster if the rider is moving quickly.
