1. Upper chainstay is the seatstay.
2. It's interesting that Showa was making forks like this 10 years ago.

I had one of those old gaint carbon DH bikes come into shop. It didn't have a rear fork but it had an even wierder linkage. The guy was using it for commuting, I almost wanted to buy it off him and slap him.

Yeah guys you see the seatstay isn't a fork, it has adjustable crowns. That way you can adjust your BB height.

The beauty of this bike lies in the time spent out in the garage modifying, fabricating and making all this shit work together. Of course its ugly, that's just so far from the whole point of doing a project like this.

flag gpmoto (May 20, 2009 at 22:51)
I checked just now. There were 267 matches for "big hit" and 316 for Demo. Also, there were 112 for Glory. Don't read too much into this, your the one who told me to "look in the sale section" for big hits.................
  • + 4
flag sam4412 (May 21, 2009 at 0:14)
Actually you Dumb Dumb, If you search In the UK under freeride dh BIKES.
.specialized Big hit 33 results 2 pages
.specialized Demo 11 results glancing down 3 arnt even demos..
.Ginat glory 26

So my friend stop trying to be smart as my guestimate figures still back up the search research of there being
The most big hits
Least Demos
And a moderate amount of glorys

My first comment was through visual reference throughout looking for a bike, i don't know if you've used your eyes but some goons on here advertise there "norco atomic demo big hit" or sell the brakes with big hit in the title which is not actually a big hit, rendering your results useless.
  • + 0
flag gpmoto (May 21, 2009 at 7:29)
If I go by what you claim to have found in just the UK, that is hardly a 100 to 1 ratio of Big HIts to Demos like you were saying. Its about 3 to 1, that is a pretty big margin of error, even for a stat pulled from thin air..........

Seems like you're pretty busy revving your Peugot in the drive and then straight back to the computer to make video montages of you building some bike you'll likely only ride a couple dozen times. Oh, and then on to photoshopping some sub-compact hatchbacks. Honestly, with such a full schedule I just don't know where you find the time for all this catiness. You know, I've, I've never heard anyone make that racist joke before. Hmm. You're the first. I've never heard anyone reference, reference that outside America. Because that's what ignorant pricks say? Isn't it? "Your limey ass" And, and yet you've taken that and used it out of context to insult me in this everyday situation. God what a clever, smart boy you must be, to come up with a joke like that all by yourself. That's so fresh too. You're the one who seems to need the last word^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

"I'm winning" was SARCASTIC! If you read the post above it(pissing contest), I think that was pretty obvious. Kids like you seem to think that if they get more props or get the last posted reply to a comment that they WIN the discussion. My first reply's to you were legitimate counterpoints about your exaggeration of the disparity between available used Demos and Big Hits, and nothing more. You started from the beginning with the name calling and even accusing me of sleeping with my sister! Then ironically, you went on to mock my maturity level. Very funny stuff, you write that yourself? Oh, and I used the word limey because I saw you calling all americans(and even some canadians) yanks on another posting. I thought my using limey, might make you think about your use of the word yank. CLEARLY ALL OF THIS WAS ABOVE YOUR HEAD! My bad..............

That's hilarious. lol An ordinery DH bike will do the same job as that one, and maybe even better.

I recon that, let's say, a Scott Gamlber can do bigger jumps than this one.

Ok, well, I'm sure the owner of this bike has thousands of dollars to go out and buy full-on DH bikes. Oh wait, no, he probably doesn't, he probably has to make do with what he has. Try to think before you run your mouth next time.

dude bike looks awesome, but i think u need to remove that front shifter/deraulier and put some nice single speed dh crank 38t ring with mrp system chain guide, and rear shock as well, dhx5.0, is that fork steel? u need fox40 bro... and your bike will rock, i am sure it will weigh lighter, cheers
