Looks like a keewee to me buddy , look in my keewee folder and i had a grey one buddy , also the avanti DH8 did not have the mount for the carbon mud guard.
They are basically the same frames , but i would say keewee.
Has it got a in built chain device with white rollers and plates?

It is not that heavy , considering it is 4130 cromo , but when i add the shock it went heavier as it has a steel spring ,and they don't do ti for fatty's.
Wait until the Avalanche MTN-8 are on this beast , along with arrow racing DHX rims , Aireal hubs , hope tech M4 with lime green goodridge hoses.
Blue gear housing , spank lock on grips , continental diesel tyres , Holzerfellar cranks or maybe 3 piece azonic cranks.
Big fat old me gliding of roof tops and mountains LOL!

Just a standard 135mm hub , i'm running a woodman bill extreme bolted axle hub , which is super strong like the frame , a special fat people build just for my 19 stone 260lb body LOL. with arrow racing dhx rims ,strongest rims on the planet

Thats a good idea , but how do i measure the spokes?
as on the dt swiss calculator the rims are not listed ,. also im using a razor rock 20mm hub and a woodman rear and neither of them are listed.
Any advice on measuring them buddy?

Just unbolt t the linkage and see , if it is the first Keewee then it may be bushings, but more than likely needle bearings.
Bear in mind if they are bushings , these will be expensive to replace.
I have an old dirt work monster that needed new nylon bushes and they need to be custom made at the cost of £75.00 from BETD.
But you did get the frame filth cheap anyway so one all reconditioned , it will be your favourite bike.

$150.00 OMG! That is a bargain , i paid £280.00 for mine , with shock and cranks.
Get it blasted and powder coated buddy.
Is it the one like mine with K in the head tube?
as the linkages are different , mine has sealed cartridge bearings and the one with the hold in the headtube have needle bearings which tighten with preassure , what i mean is when tightening the linkage do it until there is no play and they move freely.
Any pics buddy?

 peoples...

my cromo 8 is currently 42lb in its current guise;

http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/6491064/

and thats with profile cranks (with hollow cromo axle) and 321 rims. reckon i could get it under 40lb if i had a sack load of ca$h!!!

Also check out your geometry once its build up. mines not that far off the geometry of current world cup dh bikes. Not bad for an 11 year old frame design...

Yeah i do , it is one of those front guards that go under the forks , but when you take it apart half of it fits perfectly into the keewee

Haha, very clever mate. Will have to try that myself as there seems to be a total lack of rear mudguards of this style for sale anywhere Smile

flag ramstein-dh (Feb 28, 2011 at 6:43)
I want an Avalanche shock to go with my forks , and there is on on here for £100.00 but the shock is 241mm i2i and Keewee only takes 222mm.
So will swap or sell .
