To all the Elka haters out there. You can ONLY hate if you tried one. Don't believe the crap you read. Any brand has issues here and there. Elka is no different. Get it serviced and updated for FREE ! It is all about knowledge. Dont be the Georges W. Bush of mountain bike !

Taken from Elka Manual :

"The Elka Suspension high-speed compression circuit is an adjustable blow-off valve that momentarily relieves
the pressure building up inside the shock upon a harsh impact, instantly providing additional plushness then
increased resistance as needed."

Obviously your talking about Fox Boost Valve ! But saying that Elka has no blow-off valve is Wrong mate. Do you homework !

bro bro bro elka doing it the wrong way fox valve closes near the end of the strokes so it doesnt bottom out

Yup just got it back yesterday. It feels amazing. Cant wait to flex your bike next to mine and feel the difference Big Grin

They did re-tune the shock and bleed it with Mothul oil Big Grin

same here ! The Elka look is better. The weight is the same. The only thing that will make the fox shine is if it outperform the Elka ride and adjustment wize Big Grin

I can tell you on my 2009 Devinci Wilson 4 my Elka was shining. It replaced a fox DHX 5 though. I never tried the wilson on the RC4 platform. The fox Rc4 is more ajustable (suspension geeks are happy with that). The Elka is platform tuned (i like that better, easier to set-up). I myself like to spend more time riding then turning knobs. We shall see !
