Buying a sports car is cool but taking something that isn't meant to go fast, make it go like hell and then be able to tell people that you built it is something that, unless you do it yourself, words can't describe the feeling that comes with it.

plus theres a couple beetle chassis that are tax exempt!

agreed ezekiel, but in this case it's pointless if it handles like shit...
and they're only tax exempt cause they are so old they're basically from actual nazi times Wink

flag socast01 (Jan 27, 2011 at 15:14)
Robofish, tax exemption laws have been changed from now the cars is aged from its youngest major component i.e. the porsche engine. Thus classing it as to young to be tax exempt.

Rolto, not all beetles where made in the late 40's. This one definatley wasnt as it has a single rear window.

flag rolto1822 (Jan 28, 2011 at 0:49)
Hmm was aware of the second part of that lol.
Hate to say it but just cause you've changed the air filter in your car or put a new door on it doesnt/shouldn't affect it's tax. Not that anybodys going to know if youve changed something under the bonnet Cool

flag socast01 (Jan 28, 2011 at 12:59)
You put a porsche engine in it they will. Also an air filter isnt classed as a major component.
  • + 1
flag musclemilk (Jan 14, 2012 at 3:03)
yes because nobodys going to know are they ? a beetle going 130mph isnt going to be obvious enough for the police to stop and inspect lol
  • + 1
flag rolto1822 (Jan 14, 2012 at 13:30)
If you have an accident they will... when you get it MOT'd (or equivalent) they will lol. Aside from that, youre right. They would know shit had been done to it if it was managing 130mph lol
  • + 1
flag musclemilk (Jan 17, 2012 at 3:38)
and yeah well dodgy mots do still exist haha but yeah you have an accident you aint getting a penny ! haha then youd be rather f*cked off so there would be no point ahah

That has got to be riding on air sprung suspension to be that low , also would rather spend the money on a MK3 cortina or an actual muscle car , but it is his car and must love beetles.

flag dsazonic (Jan 27, 2011 at 3:56)
think its not got a silly camber probly running air suspension that can be raised and lowered because if you look at the tryres they are touching the bodywork and most of the car is about 2mm off the floor

flag bawzofsteel (Jan 26, 2011 at 8:31)
