Nice work Alex, despite what people think of the color that was an original idea to send the stanchions out for a coating like that. I work for a company that does proprietary surface finishes for industrial applications (unlike simply painting the process actually impregnates the finish into whatever is being prepped). A cross between anodizing and maybe powder coating because the finish is usually not a liquid but a fine grain powder. In any case its very interesting and I'm curious to know how you think it compares to stock in regards to stiction and longevity.
thanks terminusavid , what can I say it's that the coating make the fork more sensitive, my bushings were dead and so it damaged the stantions but the fork have still a better reaction than all the other stock boxxer I have tested, in terme of longevity I can't say anything because my shity bushings damaged my stantions.
Highly doubt its any sort of teflon coating. Never seen any teflon colored that way, its usually grey or brown. I would agree thats its a hard anodized coating that would improve performance by reducing friction.
