What DH crank is 10 speed?

Or maybe I don't know and it doesn't matter as XC 10 sp. crank needs a specific 10 speed crankset?
  • + 1
flag JonasT (Mar 2, 2011 at 22:35)
Dont need a spesific 10 speed crank. Singlechainring is what you need.

Dont think I am gonna ride Exo on the rear. Maybe try Exo on front wheel.

The chain length is perfect. I have testet it. But yes, from the eyes it seems too short.

Works good for me. Little bit less power then G3, but more modulation. Rode them last year to. Tryed the Ashima Ai, but ended my bike as a vibration dildo for girls when braking.

What does this weigh in at? Just curious seeing as its carbon.
  • + 1
flag JonasT (Mar 4, 2011 at 8:17)
 16kgs with 2ply
15kgs with 1ply (Exo)

Feels like riding a Boxxer WC, still riding a more heavy Fox 40.

flag rbullard2 (Mar 4, 2011 at 8:49)
idk what a kg is, I only know "lbs" but i can imagine its really light if it rides like a boxxer.

flag rbullard2 (Mar 4, 2011 at 8:50)
is it a 10speed? Im building up a intinse 951 and i dont know if i should save some cash and go 9speed or 10.

  • + 1
flag sam264 (Feb 9, 2011 at 8:07)
looks fine to me, the mech should be at full stretch on the largest rings front and back if it's the right length on any bike. Looks about right.
  • + 2
flag Dembs (Feb 9, 2011 at 8:41)
Remember about changing chain lenght under compression.
  • + 1
flag sam264 (Feb 9, 2011 at 12:31)
still, the general rule is round the biggest ring and add two links, that's pretty much right any bike, unless the chain length changes drastically under compression.

flag Hwulex (Feb 15, 2011 at 21:18)
Doesn't always work well with suspension bikes as need to account for chain-growth. I learned the hard way and now remove my shock to cycle through and find the longest point then join it.

flag n0n3Z (Feb 26, 2011 at 4:49)
x0 is much more accurate than the saint , the only shimano derrailer that is in the x0 level is xtr .
And in the terms of the brakes what matters in dh is not only power but sensiblity and modularity .
