He has 1 finger on the brake jsawatzky. You can see it very clearly in the higher res shot of this photo.

And jetanthony, soil on top tends to be lighter. Go find a bare patch of dirt somewhere that's dried out, light on top, now dig down a half inch, darker.

I think ever since IanHylands has had the explanation for these pods I have now had a lot more respect for the pods like these that aren't totally narly with people doing 20 foot dropoffs and hugedirt jumps with people doing backflips
