i could be wrong but what i heard was that there was a train wreck and instead of cleaning it up they just pushed the train into the woods and left it there...

That trail is quite amazing. About 6 or 8 boxcars down there, pretty cool contrast from grafiti to forest.

if you head to function junction you'll hit some train tracks just as you come off the highway, head left down the tracks, the trail is like a 10-15 min walk so couple of minutes ride. Smile
