no problems with my P20? and cannot be beaten for the low price
I changed the pedals to Odyssey Trailmix, grips to A-Bike, bars to Macneil XLTs (the stock bars were welded up bent) and put my pivotal saddle / post on there
feels fine, rides good (my previous bike was expensive custom built Macneil Whitton 2 with 41T fork, Profile hubs, etc.)
I had a good look around at other brands, both large and small, and was shocked to see a number of these choices had high-tensile frames (often just a cromoly downtube) and loose ball bearing hubs and loose ball bearing cranksets
I know prices have risen in the bike industry but many of the brands I looked at had poor specifications compared to the P20, which easily had the best frame (Reynolds 520 cromoly double-butted) and parts package
I've ridden it today on our pump track and it feels fine...the rear tire needs to be swapped out for something slightly smaller and smoother but apart from that, its all good
I own an old Araya road bike which I've converted to a singlespeed. I will vehemently attest to its quality and value. Because I own it. When you buy something you feel the need to defend your purchase. Not a slight against you, it happens to everyone. My point is that objectively, the P20 is not a terribly impressive bike, though you may love yours to death.
the British Standards require (for highway use) front and rear brakes, front and rear frame reflectors, pedal reflectors and a bell, plus either a chain guard or pedals with toe-clips and straps
this is why the P20 comes with a plastic chain guard in the box, full set of reflectors and a wack caliper front brake, cable and lever
