I can see where people who dont like it are coming from, tbh I was a little suprised to see it myself. I think its good that he is making the most out of a bad situation, but perhaps taking pics of him having fun and sending them for the world to see was a bit pre-mature. Just my thought.
i think its nice that he put out this picture, it shows people that they need to stay possitive and make the best out of their situation. having fun is the best way to make bad times feel better
'Having fun is the best way to make bad times better'
How can you have fun when your house is gone, your toilet is a hole in the ground, your bed is a piece of foam, and your 'shower' is every 3 days, and isnt a shower but baby-wipes?
yeah beat the guy down for having a positive outlook on a disaster.. sounds like he is a real crook.. (for all those who cant sense sarcasm.. here it is)
ANYONE who finds this disrespectful needs to sort their shit out. He went through the quake, just like the rest of us in CHCH. We ALL went out and took pictures of the damage. It would maybe be disrespectful if he flew over from somewhere, found it then used it for a cool shot, but Asher is a local, and it was a f*ckin crap day. Finding anything to have a bit more fun out of the situation was good. Chill out pussies
The point of view of Phil-rider sounds reasonable and fair but whatever the nature serves, we still are too stupid to survive in several occasions across the planet and it's so human to keep the respect facing a tragedy or hearing a one of other nation. It has been quite a while since the tragedy on Islands and one thing I dare to say is that the peaople living there are far enough from the word 'stupid" in my first sentence, to recover in such a short period of time.
This is great, why would people hate on him for not being all negative and depressed. I have plenty of respect for all the people affected by the disaster, but where did negativity ever get anyone?
Yeah man! This isn't being disrespectful, he took it and put it on the internet just because that's what you do when you take a photo, he had thousands of people asking to use it so that other people can see that nothing will bring us down here in Christchurch. What a top c*nt!
this is a sweet picture, him riding on the earthquake wreckage isnt making the situation any worse...people are just getting pissy because somebody is having some fun, fair enough its extremely harsh what happened, but a rider having some fun isnt doing ANY harm..hes not doing it to be disrespectful, is he? ice, maybe be a bit more sensetive with your comments in the future man..
guys heaps of people went riding that day or the day after i would no i was one of them riding is a great stress releif and for a couple of hours you can get away from it all
whats the big deal?? i feel for everyone who was effected.. but life does go on, and ya, why not make the best out of the situation. and ya ice your an idiot.
I love how people think they know that his house is broken down or something like chill out dude, why dont u go put on your pampers hes just f*cking around and its a dope picture.
I think things are bit too grave to get anything from Japan as the quake itself was 8000 times stronger, let alone the devastaing Tsunami! Would be far too disrespectful to do anything like this in Japan
I realllllly don't see any disrespect regardless of where the quake happens or what happened because the earthquake. The reality is that we live and ride on this planet, which happens to be made of plates that move, crack, break, uplift, compress, and pull apart all the time. That's just the cycle of our planet, nothing insulting or disrespectful there. I just see this picture as an extremely optimistic way of looking at a potentially occurrence, and nothing less.
who said hes from christchurch any dick head? and thats one rider out of a good couple of hundred who took advantage of the situation, so ice7 your still a f*ggot!
