North-Shore/Trials/Pump-track Training Facility This project is about creating community, having fun with bikes, in a safe environment.
Proposal: To construct a series of structures for riders of all levels; beginner, expert, and pro. Materials will be donated by sponsors, and volunteers from the bicycle community will build it. We hope to showcase this project during Bikeology in June. This will bring builders together with new riders and those more experienced. Thus, creating mentor relationships. These relationships will allow this project to show the City of Edmonton that we as a community can come together to create an environment that is inclusive to all and family-friendly.
June Bike Month plans include: -Demos,Building contests, Bike show(rodeos),repair classes. -Art, exhibition, film festival, group projects, graffiti. -Guest Speakers, Drug awareness, Bicycle theft, Pro-Riders Let’s build a better Community through responsible Bicycle ownership!
