Selected by Ian Hylands - Creative shots like this one don't always work out, but I think this is one that definitely did. It's a bit of work to shoot something like this, you have to be able to instruct someone to position their head and then not move while you figure out focus, composition and exposure for the reflection in their glasses. I really like how this shows the action and also the trail winding off behind the rider...
I would have to agree with GarbanzoMan. It's a really creative shot, but I think it could be better if you moved a little bit to the right, and caught the rider further up in the turn. You're kinda leading the subject out of the frame at this point. Sweet shot though.
i agree, reflections of rider's in someone's goggles have been done before. i enjoy the irony-- the rider and the photographer are mere feet apart, but he turns around and shoots the rider next to him!
yeah i know the feeling, every time i go out riding with friends i get tons of great shots of them, as soon as i go ride, i would be lucky to get my front tire in the pic
Yes Joeseph good lad for wearing shades. Sick photo duncan, three pods in that space of time is a right effort. Personally like you being in the shot, sense of perspective etc just makes it cool.
