My sources also tell me a carbon demo is coming... If I had to guess I'd bet it shows up mid/late WC season just like the new Demo last year.

The DLC Stanchions were introduced by SRAM/RS not by Specialized, guess they are using the new Keronite(?) version now.

I was referring to Specialized as the whole team, I should have been more specific.

Keronite is a coating for the lowers, not the stanchions, so it wouldn't affect stanchion colour.

They were saying the black stanchions were wearing down too quick, and causing a more than wanted amount of heat and friction so they ditched it. It was something new that they wanted to try but didn't work out...whole reason for R&D
