Latest pic of my Raleigh project, dropped the fixed rotors in favour of a couple of tasty red Hope floating rotors, 160mm rear, 180mm front. Had to have the front specially made by Hope as accordin to my LBS, 180mm is no longer a standard size of rotor.

I love project bikes. There's just something awesome about taking something an making it totally your own, so for that sir... I salute you!

 Thanks mate, muchly appreciated.

Bar the addition of some RaceFace Atlas AM cranks in red, this weekend I should have the bike pretty much finished off. Might spray the blue Renthal bars white as well as the seatpost too. I dont think you'll ever see another Raleigh quite like this one Beer

It will look awesome with Atlas cranks! I was going to get the same for mine but it would be too much red. I reckon white bars and post would look pretty sweet too. Yep, definitely a very unique Raleigh Pimp

I got a Hope tech M4 caliper on the rear now with braided hose, yet retaining the original lever, may do a conversion on the front but aint decided yet. The cranks and a couple of bits of sprayin should finish the bike off once and for all. Keepin the frame the original colour, as it is an unusual shade of metallic copper and looks great in sunlight. Despite the frame name, I can say I take great delight in embarrasing riders of much more expensive kit on the trails when they see 'Raleigh' on the frame and sneer down thier noses at me. don't sneer too much when they get thoroughly left behind and beaten lol

Yeah it does look a really nice shade of coppery red. How about spraying the swing-arm white to go with your other white bits? I think that might look pretty decent.

I know where you're coming from man... I'd never knock anyone's bike but the "all the gear, no idea" people do get on my nerves. That's one thing about mountain biking that's always bugged me... the snobbery and elitism.

Mind you, there is somethin really satisfyin when someone rolls up next to ya then ya leave them covered in mud/dust or whatever surface you are riding on. I've had a few 'detractors' on here, but at the end of the day we all ride what we want cause we want to.....sides...ya can't go into a shop or buy this machine online lol.

I agree about the swingarm though.

Thanks mate! Looks totally awesome on the bike, the front rotor had to be custom made by Hope, as they no longer make 180mm as a standard size.
