Man.. I've always wanted to see someone do this.. It's a shame it hits the frame tho.. Would it not do some nasty damage if you crashed really hard? Or does it hit enough that there is enough contact area to not take a big chunk out of your frame?

I made a home made bumper that works really well. I suppose there is a possibility of screwing up the fork but the frame is safe.

With the clearence... couldn't you just get a headset like a ChrisKing or somthing that has a thick bottem cup, which would lower the the crown by like 1/2 an inch and maybe give enough to clear the frame.

it doesnt really bother me and this headset came with my bike so i will keep it for now, i dont even know if it would work anyways

Hey dude im planing on building this bike same frame and forks what size is yours and how tall are you plus is there a way o getting the fork not to hit the frame

I'm not sure weather using a headset with an external bearing would help, i imagine it would. It really doesn't bother me much though. I am 5'7'' and 130 pounds and i ride a small.
