I know they are Crankbrothers dude, i used the term SPD's to cover all "CLIPPED" in pedals. SPD is a shimano acronym, Shimano Pedalling Dynamics if my memory serves me right.
Well that is a load of tosh, glad i never bought any. Think i will stick with good old reliable SHIMANO.You learn something new every day..Cheers dude!!!!
You can't adjust tension of release in Crank's because you just don't need it! You don't have to use any force to release your foot, in opposite to Shimano! And in Crank's you can chose between 2 release angles.
I was riding few years on Shimano SPD, and now I ride 3'rd season with two different CB, and they are much better and safer!
Cheers.
Yeah some people will say that SPDs are the best, others will say that CB are the best, others will say that flats are the best. No point in this discussion, it can take forever.
Another point is though, 90% of Dh bikers who use clip pedals use crankbrothers over shimano, such as gee atherton(who is sponsored by shimano) uses them....it all depends on what you want to do i suppose.
That's true, but I just relate to your statement (nhp890) that CB aren't safe because you can't adjust release tension, that's all I'm sure that you haven't ride them!
