 couple years ago i wanted to add a bash guard to my bike but didn't have the flow for a full setup, so I had to shave it down a bit to fit the guard in thurr, i had to take off the outside piece of the top box part too. It was a pretty makeshift guide, but this is back together normal now

 o ya does the trick.if it eventually bothers you, you could pick up a new wheel for like a buck
