why not just get a tailgate cover? or is this like that whole story about the Americans spending millions designing a pen that would work in space, but the Russians used a pencil sort of thing.
the bikes get scratched and beat up with a tailgate pad. and when shuttling the bikes move all around. with this rack the bikes stay where they are and no damage is done. and no damage is done to the truck.
