Selected by Ian Hylands - I need to start by saying I'm not a huge fan of the composition in this shot, I think the rider is a tiny bit close to the bottom of the frame. But having said that I'm stoked about every other part of this pic. I'm a big fan of alpine riding, and this shot describes it perfectly, awesome mountains in the background, and beautiful swoopy singletrack. I also like that he's just ripping this corner, and he's wearing jeans...

You're welcome! I try to comment as a positive thing, and I like to encourage thought and discussion. It's too bad the occasional person has a bad day because of it. We're working on a new pro critique forum or something similar as well, a place where we pick great photos that could be POD but just didn't make the cut, and offer a short critique. Look for it in the near future...

Taane, any xc or am trail can become a DH trail. IMO, most trails true definitions are all about how you ride them. I mean I can ride XC on a DH trail. Does that mace it XC?

You can see the the gondola going to mt. titlis (google titlis and you'll find more info) and part of the chairlift that is on top as well. It's on a glacier by the way. Great freeride area in winter as well..
