 with that shock mounts you achieve only increasing the travel of the rear wheel with the original shock mounts you will have the same travel increase but also you will achieve better wheel traction and the bike wheel "read" the trail better and you will be faster

 the 222mm shock mounts can be used with 222 rear shock and the prototype link? i ask because i designed the same link with some changes and i want to know if i have to built other shock mounts to fit.

 Yes I`m riding for Scott. I also have the gambler linkage,butt the Vivid air is not available in 267mm length,so i'm riding with the normal one.

 the problem with the original shock-mounts is that the piggy bag collapse with the top tube,that's why we hat to change them.

 i have a fox dhx rc4 with the voltage dh link and the original shock mounts the piggy bag of the shock will touch the the top tube?

 It's from the Scott 11 team,and is not available/for sale at the moment. We are testing it,and might come in 2013.

 you are a scott rider? i also have a proto scott link, but for the gambler, and i use to have a nitrous ss but it was stolen

 it was better to keep the original shock mounts than putting other you only thing you gain is weight loss ..
