You are one of the few people that consistently has a bike I'd gladly own in place of my own.
Always love what you come up with.

I cracked two Bettys..... quite horrible. I loved the ride when it wasn't broken tho.

flag joostflux (Jul 18, 2011 at 23:04)
They do ride really well. If this cracks, I'll just get another frame for free haha.

flag lexx (Jul 19, 2011 at 0:29)
They wouldn't warranty it for me because I already got one for free from them.

flag joostflux (Jul 19, 2011 at 10:26)
 That's slightly disheartening.

flag lexx (Jul 19, 2011 at 13:19)
Their lifetime warranty states they will not replace anything that goes over what you originally paid...... which is massive BS imo

flag joostflux (Jul 19, 2011 at 13:30)
That's really unfortunate :/ especially because the geo really is spot on.

I got a NS now because I didn't want an unreliable frame anymore.

Oh, I was thinking of getting one but people say they arn't the best, whats your views on this hub?
  • + 1
flag joostflux (Jun 25, 2011 at 11:33)
Haven't had it long enough to decide yet. But it seems most people complain about coasters because they don't maintain them on a regular basis. If you do that, you should be fine. They just take a lot more maintaining than a cassette hub does and that's what throws people off (I think).

flag sol-gh (Jun 25, 2011 at 11:34)
Nice, I want one. Do you just need to re-grease it all and change the bearings now and then? Besides £35 for one isn't half bad. I need one for a my DJ bike rebuild.

flag joostflux (Jun 25, 2011 at 11:37)
Yea, pretty much. They are really easy to work on as well. I got mine for 20 bucks because the guy didn't know how to fix it. Then I fixed it for 5 bucks total and bam! I now have a freecoaster haha. You may not like how it engages though. If you thought it would engage like a cassette, you will definitely be disappointed.

flag sol-gh (Jun 25, 2011 at 11:43)
Yeah I heard it takes a while to engage, but ah well. Still get the awesomeness of going backwards without pedaling!

Is the lever sturdy? I heard that it felt kinda flimsy and that's the only reason I don't have one right now.

flag seraph (Jun 17, 2011 at 23:00)
The lever is very sturdy. I use them for XC/AM and I know a guy who uses one for street/dirt.
