This is my bike, you people don't know what it went through for this to happen, but I can tell you the same would have happened to any modern DH frame avaivable.

Funny how 1 snapped frames means all kona's are rubbish? 1) It doesn't state how it snapped, ANY bike could snap when the frame is stressed on its weak point (they all have them). 2) As I said, ALL bikes can snap

People don't like Kona's frame because to many of them brake and to often.
its not like people just hate Kona because they see 1 broken its because they see to many broken.
to be fair this bike was meant for DH so who ever designed it must have thought to make it strong but clearly failed lol
if it was just a little crack or snap people wouldn't hate so much but come on that's just stupid...

So you think a kona frame is only bike to snap? How about old demo frames? trek sessions? In the grand scale of things, very few 'new generation' kona frames actually snap. Its just because of all the bad kudos that kona have, people see one snapped frame and suddenly hundreds of operator frames snap.. I think you'l find alot more session of demo frames sitting broken in a skip that new kona ones

no i never said kona is the only frame i was using it as a example because of the picture........
of couse all bikes snap/crack but just all the pictures everyone sees is kona's.
iam not sticking up for any company because thats just sad, its only a bike company why do people defend them so much?

Personally I stick up for kona as they get so much sh*t from 10 year old's or bike snobs. I mean I know kona crack/snap, but the point I wish all the haters would understand is that kona don't particularly crack more than any other make, its just because they have a 'bad name' from bike snobs, as soon as a picture of 1 snapped frame comes up, everyone has a field day because 'all the kona frames must be bad'

any name brand can have a bike that is possibly defected. It could have been a thin spot on the tubing, its an occurence, but not very often.

What ticks me off is when people chirp kona bikes and they have never ridden one or given one and honest try. For all the people that post commnets only saying kona is Sh*t and posting comments that are just not needed, please just take the comment and keep it to yourself. Every bike has it's weaknesses and stengths. No bike is perfect, that is why we see more and more new frame designs every year. So please if all your going to do is post comments that have no meaning, keep it to yourself.

i Dont get why everybody hates Kona their great bikes and are good quality its just that more people ride Kona (because their good) and all bikes break so you see more broken ones cause more people ride them not because their Bad like some other company's

hahaha... no good rider uses a kona, rightXD so Aggy and Paul Bass are all of a sudden bad riders??? one of the top juniors in Australia rider an operator, is he a bad rider? no
Most konas are acually pretty strong just many people use them so there will be a couple of them broken, and it´s pretty obvious that this cased a big jump at a high speed bad.

Believe it or not ten years ago and beyond kona's were the shit. Like the old blue and black stab was one of the best bikes you could buy at the time. I saved up for months to by my Easton tuned kona it upsets me to see how far they have fallen.

Everybike has their weaknesses. older treks: they dented very easily. Newer Treks: pivit bolts come loose very often. Kona: frames are still being designed and changed. maybe they havn't quite found the right design. who knows? The point is every bike is different and every bike will have weaknesses.
