amando96 plastic will handle any amount of power you give it. you just need to set the mesh correctly. to the op. when you get the new spur put a small peice of paper between that an the pinion it will give you the correct mesh. and also i would back off the slipper a turn or 2
Ok lads.....so.....new spur goes on.....paper for the mesh distance.....and what about the clutch? I saw loads of vids on Youtube showing that you should fully tighten the slipper clutch, then give it around 2x turns back, is that correct? Should the spur spin freely when complete, or slightly tight?
I don't get you ? Do you mean gear too close to the spur, or the clutch too tight? It's all new out of the box and it happened on first run on tatmac ??? Something is wrong with the setting, or spacing ?
Chatting to another shop owner/rc racer.....he said the car couldn't handle the 3900 li-po's that's why it melted >he said too much power but another shop recommended that set-up ?
