Selected by Ian Hylands - I really wanted a POD of Semenuk after the contest this weekend, and this one just really blows my mind. Not only is he boosting way high on this whip, but his back wheel is ahead of his front wheel and his bars are turned back toward the landing....

The twitch whip is awesome aswell but if i was to whip like anyone id love to be able to whip like potter because he gets them so far, i love the carmichael whips best out of anyone though if you have seen them you will know what im talking about Smile

About this photo amazing as always. Mad props to Semenuk. I am sure that I would be too busy with my jaw on the ground in total disbelief of his skills to even take a photo so good job to you to Ian.

There is beginning to be a lot of PODs from Ian Hyland. Not that I dont think his pics are worthy, I just think PODs should be from others that aren't already hired by Pinkbike, and already get tons of pics published on the site already with coverage and stories. Its pretty funny that a POD would be selected from the same person who took the shot.

I'm sure that in a few days there would've been more than enough shots of Semenuk by other photographers that were worthy of POD from this contest, and quite possibly almost the same shot that you have here. In fact, there probably are already now.

I love your photography Ian, but it would be nice to see other's work in these contests. One of your other ones I not only saw on the site, but in a local newspaper ...

Ian Hyland, your photos are cool, but your skills criticising photos is pretty much terrible, do you actually have any knowledge of photography at all, or can u just take a nice picture?? Sometimes I wonder...

And it would be nice if we could see a POD that wasn't actually chosen by the person who took it...

Well let's see, in the 200 and some days that I've been working for Pinkbike I've chosen my own photo 3 times, so I can understand why you're upset. And as far as my knowledge of photography I've been shooting Mountain Biking since before you were born, and several other sports for 10 years before that. And I teach College Level Photography as well. So while I don't really mind criticism, yours is a little off base.
