 Did you use too hard of a seal? There are certain dust seals (*cough, Enduro, cough*) that have a harder density of rubber that are known to destroy stanchions.

 lol...i think the damage on stanchion already did start with the old seals,those one's are the original fox 40's seals,i was going to get the blue ones but at the time they out stock....

 Enduro seals are blue, be careful!!!! Attention Seriously, don't use Enduro seals.
