 hi mate thanks. After removing the paint i used a fine grit sand paper til everything was smooth, then used a fine scotchbrite to make things even smoother and remove the Sanding marks (try and keep the same direction when Sanding and using scotchbrite) then when was i happy with the result i used silvo (or brasso works Just as good) to buff the forks. Took a while to finish but i did everything by hand. Have fun! Oh and Dont lacquer the forks, it ruins the finish and all your hard work.....as i found out the day after the pic was taken lol.

 it looks like the green scouring pads you use for washing up, but they make different grades ie fine, medium, coarse. Halfords sell it if its any help

 took a lot of sanding,scotchbrite, and buffing (all by hand). but they look a lot better than standard, and not everyone has them which is a bonus

 cheers mate. i would do but mine need polishing again, and i dont have time to do my own at the mo so.......?? just have a go yourself mate, cant really mess it up.............unless you lacquer them like i did because it dulls the finish. the pic was before they was lacquered, now they look grey
