I thought everybody buys tld because it looks better then anything else, why dont you just get a fox rampage or any other helmet that comes in black? youd save like 200 or whatever the cost difference is, trust me i love my gp air monaco kit so im not dissing tld its just pointless to pay so much extra for a paint job that looks like everybody elses

Why are you comparing a Fox Rampage helmet to a D3. In that case, if your gonna get a helmet based on the cool graphics design and colour scheme so you can look colourful why not get a D2 in a similar crazy colour and save yourself hundreds instead. I bought a D3 because it looks sick (both the shape and colour) and in the end makes you feel better about your riding. I actually think buying a D3 in an outrageous colour that really only goes well with a select colour scheme is stupid and is the waste of hundreds of dollars not buying one that goes with every kit, casual or racer.

lol good point i regret that lime green rampage every day, but please ecplain how it makes you feel better about your riding if its confidence wouldnt a POC be safer? all i know is TLD is known for making cool looking stuff with really cool artwork theyre also notorious for bad quality but thats another argument.

It makes me feel better just the same as the Green Rampage probably made you feel worse about your riding. Did you ever go to a race and sit there in your Rampage and think that the dudes in D3's looked better than you. It's possibly the wrong way to look at riding but like many people I get a kick out of having people look at me and think I'm pinned even if I'm not. Just like every rider, I have been in the shoes of beginning riders and have looked up to the people who wear D3's and "look" pinned. Shit...I have no idea if they were fast or not but to me it immediately makes me look at them and think they are fas. Not to brag at all but I'm not a shitty slow rider in a D3. I hate those people, all talk and no show. But when I'm sitting around a carpark at the bottom I like the sense that maybe, just maybe the little kids who are just beginning think that I look the goods and look fast.

meh never thought about helmets like that it was always about the outfits to me, i always snicker at the people in the line up wearing t shirts and shorts with those ridiculously ugly leatts, to me its all about being loud and brightly colored which is why i dont like black... Ill stop now this debate will go on forever

All helmets are one crash helmets.. If you read the owners manual on any helmet, it will say do not use after the helmet has been impacted.

Do you know anyone who actually replaces their helmets after each crash? I've crashed a thousand times on my helmet and have never compacted the foam...so it's still good. TLD's however, one good crash and they're wrecked. Plus they're super expensive just because they say TLD on them.

I dont think any companies completely replace the helmets, just offer you a good deal on a replacement helmet. TLD sells replacement helmets for almost half of retail.

Oh, I crashed really badly this weekend, landed on my head during practice off the step down, concussion and all that sh!t, but I'll probably keep my helmet the rest of the season, and probably as a spare next year.
