Selected by Ian Hylands - I love this shot. I like the green, and I like Dan drifting the corner, back tire sliding out into the green. The composition of the photo is great with the trees on the left, and the shape of the trail curving through the right. And I like the triangular piece of out of focus foreground in the bottom right. The single branch that curves up from the ground and frames Dan bothers me a little. My first thought was 'why didn't the photographer remove it?' That would make the photo almost perfect. But part of me also likes that it's there, that it's the one thing that isn't perfect in the photo, and that it perfectly frames Dan. It's what keeps it from looking like a postcard, and that might make it a better photo...
