Stuff like this takes a long time! Building big in general takes so long. We've been working on our small line recently and its really weird finishing a jump in a day. This berm took a few weeks!

pretty sure jeans and a tee is the standard clothing of riders?!

lol yeah. guess it's just weird to see so many riders working on one thing? pretty cool, and a sweet berm too! bet that clay is pretty good for bmxs once it's dry

We all team together to get things done! There's only one bmxer in the photo, we only have one bmx local. Majority of Bbmxers round here just ride park and talk about digging.... To be honest the clays crap, as it dries it just cracks up real bad. We use some different dirt for layering that shapes a lot easier although this berm will probably be left as its the last thing in the line at the moment.

ah fair enough, i don't know much about digging dirt jumps, mostly downhill stuff, which doesn't require half as much effort, haha

Get a decent water supply going. Sands a good mud to use get a lot more riding out of it! Over here a sandy spot will ride all year where ours will only ride for 6 months max.

Its right next to a creek, its just difficult to get the sand to pack unless its wet, and even then its still squishy. we did excavate some clay for the first lip, that holds up pretty well. What do you mean by sands a good mud?

flag giantman817 (May 14, 2012 at 8:38)
yeah it is super easy to dig for sure, i guess we just gotta ride it a bunch and keep it wet and eventually it will be dialed. (thats what she said) i need to figure out who owns the land i'd be so bummed if they got taken down

 Haha yea!!

We don't really know who owns the land we have built on. It most likely belongs to the concil/local farmer. Trouble is if you have already started to build the land owner might be quite annoyed. Always best to ask before you start building!
