FWIW, that looks to be a 2003 Big Hit Spec (though it may have been purchased in 2004) and it does not have the original fork or brakes. The head tube angle looks off an seems to be sitting very low. The fork looks like it came from an early AM or XC bike (maybe 100-120mm travel), but not what was specked on the Big Hit from Specialized.

As for the wheels and brakes, they look like XC rims and thin gauge spokes. One spirited 5ft drop to flat would probably cause damage and they might need re-truing or possibly even repair/replacement. The brakes look to be too small (also maybe XC), so, not sure who you got it from or the bikes history, but the price it is listed at is probably why you are drawing criticism.

I would recommend a little research, try a few Google searches and you can see how the bike came from Specialized and when it was made/sold (which there where factory leftovers into 2005-06).

Good luck with your sale and happy trails.
