it would be the worst bike to scam going as you dont see many about, also im sure if you went and veiwed the bike. You would recognise the rider! I think people just need to be sensible on sites like this. Not everyone is a scammer, there are decent, honest people around still.

the frame is a day old...at £2400 and with ti spring fox 40's...avid brakes, brand new schwalbes, dmr vaults x0 shifting...i think its not a bad price!!!

he won't have been given a brand new £5k bike, only to be given another new one weeks later. That's not how it works. If he's a small time rider with small time sponsors, he'd have been asked for the bike back before he gets a new one. I call scammer.

Why don't you just explain yourself more fully? Personally, I wouldn't want to part several thousand of my hard earned for a bike that is potentially a bit fishy, especially given your lack of posts on SDH and lack of photos on here. I'd have thought if you were a semi-pro rider, you'd at least have some riding photos??

Your pretty stupid if you manage to get scammed over buying a bike.
If your going to part with thousands of pounds you spend the fuel money to go exchange the cash for the bike in person. I would not even dream of sending all that cash electronically and sit waiting/hoping for the bike to turn up in the post...

2. How is it disrespectful? I'll follow whatever sport I want to follow.
3. no offence to Bernard, but I wouldn't call him a "big time WC racer". no doubt he's fast, committed and all that, however I know a guy who raced a couple of the WCs this year and didn't qualify. I don't expect everyone in the biking community to know his name.

Go away and grow up.

having just checked the results for all the WC races last year (because i have nothing better to do), and at no point was lewis buchanan in the top 5 british riders, let alone anywhere near the podium, best he did was 7th fastest british rider. He's a fast rider, however your name seems accurate, in that you're full of bull. Stop trying to show off because you apparently know a WC rider, but don't actually seem to know anything about him or the sport itself.

pretty sure most of us know what it's like to work and earn money... however studying a degree doesn't allow for that sort of thing unless you want to fail. I work summers to pay for my bike, so no, I'm not impressed. Stop being so childish. I'm not gonna reply now anyway, it's not worth my time/effort and as ben said, i'm sure bernard doesn't appreciate it.

samblagy, go to roots and rain, type in bernard kerr, then compare him to billy matthews, then scroll to 'data' at the bottom. Yes, billy is much younger, and very very quick for his age, but you can't say he's in the top 5 just because you've heard of him.
