hey mate sick build especially the 40s they really set it off...i have the same but stock from the shop and that knocking sound has been pissing me off...cheers for the info dude enjoy!
Hey, thanks she rides wicked at the moment and the 40s are starting to feel pretty smooth now! No probs about the info, thats crazy that they would ship even the stock bike with that shitty ass headset!!
Has the glory changed at all in the last three years? Is a 2010 Glory essentially the same as a 2012? Nice bike, I like the whit and blue, 2 colors really set a bike of right.
Thanks. As far as I know yes pretty much the same just a different rear shock. Also I think the FSA Angleset is new for 2011 and 2012. Word of advice the FSA orbit option the frame comes with is a piece of sh*t get rid of it straight away!
Thanks Nah they are formula the one brakes. 203 front 180 Rear. I had SO much trouble trying to install the stupid Angleset. Tried about ten times to seat the stupid thing right, but it just kept making a horrible clunking sound every time i slammed the forks down. Took it to a bike mechanic who couldn't get it working either. He rang FSA who recommended we locktite the bearings in place. WTF?? Shouldn't have to do that. So in the end i threw it away and brought a standard headset. No clunking anymore!
@c25porter the glorys have stayed pretty much the same, with the exeption of droping about a pound. BUT its just like specialized demo, it hasent changed since 2010..... i here romours of a carbon glory in the next 2 years
Just around the block nothing serious! Flows are pretty smooth I had a professional wheel builder in my town lace them up he's done an awesome job and stands by his work said if they get knocked out of shape he will lace them up again for free!
I got Flows on my Demo. A season of racing and riding every weekend and they are as true as the day I got them. idk about the white powdercoat finish, I got the black anodized ones and they look new. No scratches or anything. The finish is really good. I got the full Stan's wheelset and its about a pound lighter than I9's DH wheelset. Also, the tubeless is amazing. All season, no flats. I'm putting flows on every bike I build from now on
Wooah thats pretty impressive!! I could probably get a good deal on the hope hoops flows with pro2 evos just the price to be honest. Tempted by some nukeproofs and just keep my specialized hubs until I can afford the full wheelset!
They are on the very light side for a DH rim. So if your on the heavy side or the rougher/not so smooth side I wouldn't reccommend them. I'm about 175lbs in riding gear and I would say I'm slightly smoother than the average local riders around here. And I've had a flawless season with them
