I haven't weighed it yet but it can't be more than 28. It feels supa lite.

My bike feels good at 28lbs but lighter brakes, tires and brakes should drop an extra half pound and more.

But it is not necessary. Stock it is suuuuch a capable bike. With the exception of saddle and grips.

But wider, lighter bars and a dropper post help as well. Plus a 1x10 setup is nice to keep things tight.

And I need new bars/stem for my X-Cal so the ones from the remedy are transferring.

My upcoming upgrades are XO brakes, Bontrager RXL 680mm 15rise bar or the Spesh comprable one, S-Works Ground Control tire, or Fast Traks all around...lighter SRAM cassette, and drill my guide even more.

I've ridden Fast Traks around here before and it's ok. 2.2's so it's a deeper tread and wider. It's mostly a hardpack with some sandpits and mostly rocky and rooty terrain. Lots of limestone and slickrock on some trails, and hardpack sand.

I have heard that fast traks are decent for hardpack sand. It's what I am going to be running for races.

He has a Trek Superfly HT and has a frameset he is making a 29er ss rigid with and he has one with a Reba on it. He also races CX.
