It's just come to my attention that I don't like P3 dropouts. But it's a sick bike man Big Grin Dirt machine!

How do you like the wheels compared to the mavics ?
  • + 1
flag ritchierich (Jan 6, 2012 at 9:03)
Not as strong as my 721 or 729. But Im not riding much street on them so they should be alright.

I still have that mavic wheelset if your looking for some wheels.

That's darn near perfect. Just the right amount of colour.

flag ritchierich (Dec 19, 2011 at 10:02)
Thats what Im thinking! After I get your prerunners its gonna feel absolutely dialed!!

I have to work out the cranks/spacing though. Ive got the ghettoest setup in the back, Im using bb spacers and extra cogs to space it out... Eek

flag comacruz Mod Plus (Dec 19, 2011 at 10:05)
You're not running a conversion kit on the freehub?
  • + 2
flag ritchierich (Dec 19, 2011 at 10:06)
I am. But I have to run the cog and the very outside of it, so with the two spacers I have it would have gone off the freehub. So I have to use one spacer, two or three bb spacers, and an old 11t off a cassette...

why such an easy gear? looks like 32-16/18 Eek
  • + 1
flag ritchierich (Dec 19, 2011 at 6:50)
Its 32-16 and it is so easy. My 36t off the descendants doesnt fit on here so Im waiting for a new ring...

flag NWray (Dec 19, 2011 at 6:52)
just buy a new cog? sure is cheaper than a chain ring Confused

flag psymosfear (Dec 19, 2011 at 7:09)
i have a few rear cogs that i had ordered so you could keep the 32 on and just drop the rear instead ...you have way more clearance with the 32t...and less chance of bashing it...36 is to large you always have to keep a eye on the ring so you don't Bulldog it and bend it over
i have a 12t,14t and 15t rear cogs i could sell ya ..and if you put 32/12 that would give you the best gear ratio and you have lots of clearance all round...

flag NWray (Dec 19, 2011 at 7:15)
ehhh.. i always found 32-12 a tad hard.... 32-13 was perfect IMO, depends on tire size(how tall the tire is), bike weight and crank arm length tho

flag elzyboy104 (Dec 19, 2011 at 17:00)
32-14. Best ratio ever. Not to hard. But yet you can still pedal when you are overtAking an old lady

flag psymosfear (Dec 19, 2011 at 18:04)
ya 32/14 or 32/12 either one is good ..cause they are both good ratios

flag elzyboy104 (Dec 20, 2011 at 9:10)
Now a 32/13 would be a perfect set up Wink lmao

and phycoref is right the seat post is backwards ..also you should switch to pivotal post and seat..it will shave off a bunch of weight switching over to pivotal

flag ritchierich (Dec 19, 2011 at 7:20)
To be honest I dont give two shits about weight. The post is on backwards because that is the only way you can get the seat angled at all. I love that saddle and not down to go with a pivotal setup, thanks though!
